Student Attendance
Student absences can be reported via the SafeArrival System or by contacting the school at 709-279-2313 or marystowncentralhigh@nlschools.ca.
School Messenger will contact parents/guardians throughout the day if their child has an unexcused absence.
We ask for your support when it comes to emphasizing regular class attendance. When students are in class consistently, they experience essential lessons, class discussions, and hands-on activities that cannot be replicated outside of the classroom.
Being present and engaged in the classroom allows students to collaborate with peers and build strong relationships.
These daily interactions and learning experiences are crucial for academic growth and personal development.

We are excited to kick off another school year with our school community.
As we begin, we want to emphasize the importance of our partnership in
ensuring your child's success. Staying connected with the school is key. Our
staff is here to help whenever you have questions or concerns.
Let's work together to ensure your child is present, engaged, and thriving
this year. By partnering on regular attendance and active participation, we
can help students achieve their goals.
